 Position Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the materials receiving, inventory management, work-order kitting, and distribution replenishment processes within the Warehouse department. Through the leadership and guidance of the Warehouse shift lead team, they coordinate and direct shift warehouse operations and personnel to ensure that quality work is performed in a safe, productive, and efficient manner. 
 Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for scheduling daily and weekly assignments for the shift leads and front-line warehouse team; leverages and administers policies, programs, and procedures to maximize output while minimizing labor costs
  • Responsible for training warehouse personnel on safe and efficient warehouse operations
  • Proactively monitors and measures warehouse department throughput and quality metrics; responsible for coaching, counseling, and managing employees via timely feedback and development. 
  • Establishes and executes processes to ensure accuracy of all department functions 
  • Maintains communication with the department manager and shift leads on warehouse operational priorities and resource needs
  • Assists Warehouse Manager in the annual development of department operating budget
  • Partners with the Inventory Coordinator to improve inventory integrity, troubleshoot areas of concern and leads the team through established cycle counting processes
  • Partners with the Health & Safety department to advance warehouse department safety programs and improve employee safety in the workplace. Responsible for investigating and reporting safety incidents to identify corrective actions and address safety findings
  • Leverages 5S and lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement processes, positively impacting the areas of quality, productivity, and sanitation
  • Responsible for taking necessary action on all food safety and quality problems reported or observed.

 Education and Experience Required:
  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution
  • 1+ years team or project leadership experience
  • 3+ years manufacturing experience
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and extra hours, as needed
 Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, maintenance, manufacturing, or related field
  • 3+ years supervisory experience
  • Previous experience with implementing behavior-based safety programs
  • Previous knowledge of warehouse equipment and forklift training programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strategic planning skills
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

As the company continues to grow, our highest priority is continuing to provide the same  distinctive touch our customers received when their orders filled our very first truck.

We now have an immediate opening for an experienced HACCP Certified Practitioner to join our Food Safety  team in Tualatin, Oregon. 
The HACCP Practitioner will: 
• Implement, review, and maintain the facility food safety management system. 
• Maintain, verify, and validate the Food Safety Plan as outlined in the Merieux NutriSciences audit code  and FSMA. 
• Administer food safety training for all PPC’s, including verification. 
• Support operations and quality personnel in the application and compliance monitoring of  environmental, health, safety and quality requirements. 
• Facilitate Food Safety Committee and food safety team meetings. 
• Plan and perform Mock Recalls. 
• Organize and maintain Supplier Approval Program. 
• Organize and maintain Approved Chemical Program. 
• Verify monthly self-inspections, document and bring about corrective actions as needed. • Oversee and educate the managers on appropriate sanitation practices 
• Verification and Validation activities are the responsibility of the HACCP Practitioner. • Assist the day-to-day activities of the QA (Quality Assurance) individual and department. • Perform environmental swab testing per required schedule, communicate with external testing lab, file  
completed reports, and report to site management potential threats to food safety/quality. • Scheduling and review of Self Inspections. 
• Manage all third-party quality and food safety audits and visits.

Raw Material Buyer – JOB DESC
  • Manage and control raw materials, supplies/stocks, ensuring all production requirements are met within cost, quality, and service standards. 
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and distributors while managing costs and inventory. 
  • Collect and organize required documentation for each supplier and distributor, keep up to date and current. 
  • Monitor tight site warehouse space availability for raw ingredients and raw materials and issues of materials to production.
  • Assess supplier compliance and service as needed for continuous improvement. 

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Management of supply of materials to site and the production facility.
  • Works closely with Suppliers, Production Coordinator and Production Manager to ensure raw materials are available to meet production schedules to meet quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Qualify and Verify New and existing vendors
  • Negotiate best prices and service
  • Place orders, arrange shipping, receive materials into system.
  • Collect and manage all Spec Sheets and COA’s for raw materials.
  • Manage materials transfers between warehouses.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in Food/Packaging procurement, managing transportation, and inventory levels, involving planning to tight constraints, and managing lead times.
  • Strong attention to detail is necessary for success in this position.
  • Ability to deal with vendors, negotiate and problem solve.
  • Must possess a high sense of Urgency to succeed in handling the inevitable challenges.
  • Must be a critical thinker, self-motivated and a self-starter
 
Schedule:
This full-time, non-exempt position works out of Paradigm Foodworks building in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
Benefits include paid vacations and holidays, as well as eligibility for health/vision benefits after 60 days and matching IRA contributions.

  • Pay: From $20 - $24 per hour DOE
