March Event: Virtual Cocktail demonstration and Tasting
Please join us for the April IFT Mingle - Cocktail demonstration and tasting by Kim Hutchinson (see bio below). Kim will be demonstrating how to make drinks with a few classic and prohibition era cocktails. She’ll also touch upon the tools used to make cocktails, proper technique, different types of ingredients used, and suggestions for good recipe books. You will get to follow along with her in making these cocktails.
OSIFT will provide an ingredient kit, you provide the booze. Logistics: Register for Mingle Event by 4/16 (minimum $5.00 donation; funds exceeding costs will be donated to Oregon Food Bank). Pick up kits on 4/17 -19 (we will have multiple pick-up locations). Depending on sign up, Tina may deliver. Join virtual tasting on 4/20 from 6:00 - 7:30pm. November Event: Hard Cider and Caramel Tasting
Date: November 17, 5:00-6:30 PM
For our November mingle, we will be video tasting Hard Apple Ciders. This will be a casual and fun taste experience curated by yours truly.
Members that would like to participate will pick up tasting kits at centrally located pickup locations. We will take donations for the event and any money exceeding product and supply costs will be donated to the Food Bank. The suggested donation will be $10 which should cover 5-6 ciders and supplies.
But wait, there's more! For those whom don't consume alcoholic beverages, we will be going through a very nice selection of gourmet caramels as well.
