Greetings Oregon Section IFT Members,
Don't be confused by the subject line - it isn't November YET. I'm sure some of you are still deciding on your last-minute Halloween costume...I know I am! But I thought I would send this letter out early since schedules are quickly filling up for the holiday season.
Mark your calendars for next month's meeting on Tuesday November 12th, because it's going to be a FUN ONE! We're joining forces with the Research Chefs Association (RCA) and Oregon State University's Food Innovation Center to bring you an evening of product development insights and tasty culinary creations! This meeting will officially kick off the national RCA Conference in March (http://www.culinology.com/annualconference).
Chef Bret Lynch and Anne-Marie Ramo from CuliNex will present an interesting program and dinner, demonstrating Culinology in Action! The Food Innovation Center will offer self-guided tours through their facility. This will be an exciting event, and space is limited.
So sign up to save your spot before it's too late!
Registration is open and you can sign up using the following Eventbrite link: https://osiftnov2013.eventbrite.com. This goes for both RCA and OSIFT members. RCA members, please sign up using the 'Member' option (registration fee of $30). OSIFT members should also receive an email directly from Eventbrite later today. The deadline to grab a seat is Friday November 8th at 12pm (noon).
For all you newcomers, our meetings kick off with a social hour at 5:30, followed by dinner at 6:30, announcements, and then our speaker.
