Greetings Oregon Section IFT Members,
I can’t believe it’s the last meeting of our 2013-2014 year – is it just me or has this year gone by fast?! Is it summer already? Whoa, slow down 2014!
On Tuesday, May 13th we are going to take some time to reflect on all the wonderful things we have accomplished this year, and to recognize the outstanding volunteers who have made it happen.
Speaking of outstanding volunteers, our OSIFT treasurer and website guru Sue Queisser IS BACK to present The Quince: An Unexpected Journey! You may remember Sue’s German Cookie talk back in December 2012. It was a truly delicious adventure. This time Sue is going to talk about the quince and take you on a meandering journey through history, the ice age, food science, fighting over beauty, taxonomy, hair gel, and more!

Did you know that you don’t need to be a member of IFT to attend our meetings? Non-members are always welcome and only pay $5 more!
Our meetings kick off with a social hour at 5:30, followed by dinner at 6:30, announcements, and then our speaker.
